PROPERTY TAXES

House Speaker Marco Rubio's tax plan - cap all property taxes at 1.35 percent - was heard in the Florida House and Senate yesterday. Rubio has a petition drive to accomplish the same thing, but the Legislature could put it before voters as early as November. Even Rubio, however, says the odds are against legislative action this year.
