FLORIDA LEGISLATURE

A Florida House panel approved a cap on state and local government taxes, fees and other revenues Tuesday, but the constitutional amendment (HJR 7125) doesn't have support in the Senate. Says Senate Finance and Tax Committee Chairman Mike Haridopolos, R-Indialantic, who supports the concept: "I'm not going to eat up the Senate's time when I know I don't have the votes."
