PREVENT! of Brevard
Mission Statement
As a community provider of comprehensive prevention, treatment and support services, PREVENT! works to prevent destructive behaviors, protect and nurture children, redirect high-risk youth, treat addictions and strengthen and reunite families. Services: PREVENT! offers a wide range of programs for Brevardians. Among them, is Sally's House, a long-term recovery home for women and infants, and provides parenting classes as well as training in anger management for adults and juveniles. PREVENT! provides educational and counseling programs and drug and alcohol treatment programs.
Resurrection Ranch Ministries
Mission Statement
To help those who have fallen on hard times, primarily due to drug and/or alcohol abuse, by helping change their poor decision-making habits. Every individual receives the support and tools needed to re-enter society and become an asset to his or her community. Services: This is a non-profit organization that serves over 4,500 meals each month and houses about 45 men, women and their children every night.

To provide adult role models, improve at-risk children's reading skills and foster a life-long love of reading and literature by giving away quality hardcover books to each participating child. Services: This is a volunteer literacy organization and provides Brevard children with the Read Aloud program and small group workshops and tutoring.

Shoes for the Needy

To provide needy children in Brevard with shoes. Services: The program is composed of 14 local civic and veterans organizations. The council members are made up of volunteers from each participating organizations.
South Brevard Sharing Center

Mission: To provide short-term emergency assistance to help families meet their basic needs, including donations of food, clothing, household items, and financial vouchers for prescriptions, utilities, and rent. Services: SBSC serves low-to moderate income families in South Brevard.
